Appreciating the cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand in the field of education and training over the past time, expressed by many outstanding cooperative results, Minister Phung Xuan Nha suggested that, in the new term, Dai Ambassador Tanee Sangrat will assist in the developing educational and training cooperation between the two countries.

In particular, firstly, we will promote the two countries to re-sign the Memorandum of Understanding on Education Cooperation signed since 2004; continue to support projects and programs being implemented in Vietnam such as Thai language curriculum at Vietnamese universities, projects to support students of 3 schools in difficult districts in Vietnam. In the long term, the Minister hopes that the Ambassador will support the Ministry of Education and Training in establishing the Vietnam Language and Education Center in Thailand; At the same time, connecting Vietnamese schools with Thai schools in order to enhance exchanges of students, teachers and education managers at the grassroots level.

Thanks to the warm welcome of Minister Phung Xuan Nha, Thai Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Tanee Sangrat, said that education and training is an important area of ​​cooperation between Thailand and Vietnam. Education of the two countries is in the process of preparing a Memorandum of Understanding on educational cooperation between the two countries, which is expected to be signed by the end of April 2020 in Hanoi.

According to Ambassador Tanee Sangrat, this cooperation memorandum will cover the cooperation contents that Minister Phung Xuan Nha discussed such as teacher training, teaching Thai language, establishing Language and Education Center. education in Thailand. The Ambassador said that the establishment of Vietnam Language and Education Center in Thailand is of great significance, helping Thai people to better understand the country and people of Vietnam, further promoting the cooperation between two countries.

Sharing about what will be done to promote education and training cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat said, in 2020, the Ministry of Education of Thailand is expected to hold a workshop. for Vietnamese teachers and teachers of ASEAN countries to exchange and share experiences on teaching methods; Also this year, the Thai Embassy in Vietnam will hold a conference to look back on 20 years of teaching Thai language in Vietnam, and there will be a Thai education forum held in Vietnam with the participation of attended by many schools from Thailand.
