Overview

UNDERGRADUATE ADVANCED PROGRAM IN CIVIL ENGINEERING

(In cooperation with University of Arkansas, USA, study in English)

OBJECTIVES

Training civil engineering engineers on the basis of developing high quality import program of the University of Arkansas, USA; with professional qualifications, English proficiency (IELTS and TOEFL certification) and soft skills to adapt to international integration.

LABOR NEEDS

Demand for human resources in the fields of industry - construction annually needs tens of thousands of people with high skills and qualifications. At the same time, the ASEAN economic community established in 2015 also opens up many opportunities for civil engineering engineers with the forecast of strong growth of millions of jobs.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Working in international organizations, consultant companies, research institutes, construction corporations or non-governmental organizations (NGOs) related to the fields of Construction, Transportation, Hydraulic Structures Engineering, Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resources and Environment etc.

Taking postgraduate courses such as Master and Ph.D levels at University of Arkansas, USA in other prestigious universities in the world especially ASEAN, Asia, Europe, Australia and USA.

OPPORTUNITIES TO STUDY ABROAD

Excellent and qualified students have the opportunity to study and receive bachelor degrees by University of Arkansas, USA with model of 2+2; accordingly, the first 2 years of study at Thuyloi University; the next 2 years of study at University of Arkansas.

Students have the opportunity to receive scholarships under Student Exchange Program – AIMS for studying 1 or 2 semesters at some universities of Canada, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines.

EDUCATION PROGRAM

Study duration is 4.5 years with 155 credits.

Specialized training: Transportation Construction Engineering, Hydraulic Structures Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, Civil and Industrial Construction, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering.

Content of the program is originally based on the curricula (Civil Engineering) of University of Arkansas (USA) and is taught entirely in English.

The program has been granted an international accreditation certificate by AUN (The Network of Universities of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations - ASEAN).
